Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® Underscores its Commitment to the Architectural Community at AIA 2019

Las Vegas, NV, June 5, 2019 – Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® (OBE), a leading supplier of architectural glass, metal and hardware, is pleased to participate in the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Conference on Architecture for the 9th consecutive time this year – but with a renewed emphasis on architects.

“We are particularly excited about the conference this year as it is an opportunity for us to emphasize what is at its core, the architectural community.  At the beginning of 2019, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope became a Strategic Partner to the AIA. In this partnership we are focused on collaboration to ensure we are providing architects the tools, resources and product innovation they need,” said Brenda Kelly, vice president marketing and commercial excellence at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope.

OBE is leveraging the conference as a platform to provide support and expertise to architects in the Learning Lounge, booth 4907LL, through four continuing education courses:

Each course is provided two times over the two expo days for a total of eight sessions offering over 400 spots for learning opportunities. OBE’s team of metal, glass and interior experts will also be in their booth (4907LL) to talk to architects about any project challenges they’re having.

“Last month we launched our new ad campaign, focused on our ongoing commitment to partner with customers to solve building challenges and deliver solutions.  Our new ads showcase interesting projects and some perspectives of those involved and that’s what we want to highlight at the conference as well,” continued Kelly.

The campaign puts projects OBE experts have worked on, along with the collaboration between them, the architect and the contractor, front and center. The ads spotlight product solutions OBE offers, like skylights, glass and window wall, but also speaks to the partnerships that are needed to bring architects’ visions to life, ensuring the systems provide the aesthetic appeal alongside the needed functionality. Only two ads have been released in publications, yet AIA attendees will get to see a preview of the full campaign on display in the OBE booth at the conference.

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is also sponsoring the opening night kick-off party at XS nightclub on June 5th starting at 6:30PM. The party has always represented the start of the conference where everyone has an opportunity to reconnect and prepare for an exciting few days ahead.

“The opening night party is a perfect fit for our focus on partnerships and collaboration,” said Kelly.

The OBE team is looking to facilitate, and make, meaningful connections with the architecture community that helps fuel discussion at the conference, and innovation throughout the year.

Robert Ivey, FAIA, EVP/Chief Executive Officer of the AIA and Nathan Creech, President, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, will both address the nearly 1,000 attendees, welcoming them to the conference and encouraging thought-sharing, learning and collaboration.

“Our focus is on simplifying projects for our customers and ensuring our team of experts are involved early in the design process to provide meaningful solutions, and this event is great way to start, or in many cases continue, those conversations,” added Kelly.

The company is also working closely with architects to design their new website, to be released later this year, as a resource to the community for fenestration products and services.
