Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope^® Earns 2016 Best in Show Booth Award at AIA Convention

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope^® was selected as “Best in Show” winner of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Expo Best Booth Awards for its nontraditional booth design. The 2016 AIA National Convention and Design Exposition featured 820 exhibitors demonstrating the latest innovations that help architects work smarter.

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope^® won “Best in Show” based on the creativity and clarity of its exhibit presentation, its innovation and forward thinking, and the positive interaction of its staff with booth visitors, which included a “secret panel” of architects who served as judges.

The Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope^® Un-booth created a serene place where attendees relaxed and were able to get away from the frenzy of the trade show floor. The Un-booth was intentionally free from products, collateral and presentations. Designed by Gensler, attendees were able to enjoy refreshments, check email, charge smartphones, and even express creativity by participating in a napkin sketch gallery wall.
