Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® Acquires SIGCO LLC

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® (OBE), part of CRH’s Americas Products Division, announced today that it has acquired privately-held SIGCO LLC (“SIGCO”) effective July 6, 2018. SIGCO, based in Westbrook, Maine, is the leading architectural glass and metal fabricator in New England.

“SIGCO is a great company that has built a strong reputation for quality products and incredible customer service. The acquisition of SIGCO is the next step in executing our growth strategy for our glass fabrication and architectural aluminum products businesses,” said Nathan Creech, President of Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®. “SIGCO’s unwavering focus on customer service, its entrepreneurial culture and its leadership position in New England makes it an ideal fit for OBE.”

SIGCO will operate as SIGCO, a CRH Company, led by Dave McElhinny and the rest of the existing management team.

“SIGCO and OBE share a common commitment to our industry and to the marketplace. Joining OBE will allow us to benefit from its extensive technical expertise and the strength and scale of its production and distribution network. This will be beneficial to our customers, our suppliers and our employees,” said David McElhinny, SIGCO Chief Executive Officer. “We are very pleased to be joining the OBE and CRH family. It is an exciting time for our company.”

“We are acquiring another incredible business. We are especially pleased to welcome all of SIGCO’s employees to our company. Dave and the entire SIGCO team have cultivated a strong culture of quality, service, and customer focus that is consistent with the values we hold at OBE,” added Creech.
