Oldcastle Glass® Acquires Laminated Glass Corporation

Santa Monica, CA. – December 19, 2000 – Oldcastle Glass Group, the leading independent glass fabricator in North America, has purchased the assets of Laminated Glass Corporation.

Laminated Glass operates a 72,000-square-foot facility in Telford, Penn. The company was founded more than 40 years ago when it began supplying laminated glass for the automotive industry, and has been supplying to the architectural and building products community since the 1970s.

Oldcastle Glass Group was formed in the early 1990s through acquisitions of companies that were founded as far back as the 1920s. Oldcastle Glass is North America’s largest independent glass tempering and fabrication company with 44 locations and approximately 3,500 employees. It is one of five North American product groups of CRH plc, the international building materials group headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
